St Mary has a unique importance and role in the line of saints venerated by the Christian churches. She is the one who borne the God when He took flesh. While Mary was betrothed to Joseph, an angel visited her and told her that Holy Spirit would come on her, she would become pregnant and give birth to a child who will be called 'the Son of God'.

St Thomas was one of the twelve Apostles of Jesus Christ. He was also called Didymos, which mean 'twin' because of the paired fingers of his hand. The Bible portrays him as a man of bravery and strong attachment to his Teacher. Jesus made the revelation that 'I'm the way, the truth and the life' (St. John 14:6) as an answer to the question of St Thomas. After his resurrection, when Jesus appeared before his apostles, St Thomas was not present there. When his colleagues told him later that they saw Jesus, he was reluctant to believe that.

St. Geevarghese Mar Gregorios, popularly known as "Parumala Thirumeni", was a bishop of the Indian Orthodox Church and the first saint from the church to be venerated. He was famous for his saintly life, unfaltering faith, and passion for the mission of Christ and compassion for his fellow beings.

He was born on 15th June 1848, in a distinguished family called 'Chathuruthi Pallithatta' in the village Mulanthuruthy near Cochin.

St. George was born in Cappadocia, in a noble Christian family. It is believed that when his father died, he moved to Palestine, his mother's country of origin. He held an important post in the Roman army - the rank of tribune, or perhaps colonel in modern terms - during the reign of the Emperor Diocletian (AD 245-313). Dioclesian was a great persecution of Christians (from about 302 AD) and when the persecutions began George put aside his office and complained personally to the Emperor about the harshness of his decrees and the cruelties against Christians.

Vattasseril Geevarghese Mar Dionysius is popularly known as Malankara Sabha Bhasuran (The Great Luminary of Malankara Orthodox Church) which our Church has bestowed on him in recognition of his rich contribution to Malankara Orthodox Church. Vattasseril Thirumeni was a man of prayer, determination and dynamism. He was a saint who never stooped before falsehood.
